A Journey Through the Heart of Bangalore, One Recipe at a Time
Growing up in Bangalore, food was more than just a part of life, it was the soul of every celebration, the comfort after a long day, and the silent storyteller of our rich heritage.
I still remember walking through the bustling lanes of Shivajinagar, drawn in by the scent of freshly made biryani, or sitting with my family at Vidyarthi Bhavan, waiting for those perfect golden-brown dosas.
These were not just meals they were memories, emotions, and traditions served on a plate. But something began to change.
In 2020, I noticed that many traditional recipes the ones passed down from our grandmothers, cooked during festivals, or whispered as secrets in old kitchens were slowly fading. Fast food was becoming the norm, and the stories behind our dishes were getting lost.
That’s when I started Recipes of Bangalore. What began as a humble attempt to preserve the flavors of my childhood has grown into a movement a celebration of everything that makes Bangalore's food culture so unique. Today, Recipes of Bangalore is a digital archive, a creative kitchen, and most importantly, a community of food lovers who believe in the magic of tradition.
